Thomas Built Buses Announces Platinum Support Dealer Program

Thomas Built Buses launched a new customer-focused, comprehensive service program to provide faster diagnosis of maintenance issues and improved turnaround time and quality of service.

The Platinum Support program is the result of collaboration between the school bus manufacturer and its dealer network. It also addresses “robust” parts availability and increased customer service.

The program also targets the elimination of “all areas of waste” from day-to-day operations and business. Thomas Built Buses said this includes vehicle assessment, reducing vehicle down time and decreasing vehicle life-cycle costs that are passed on to the customer.

“In meeting the criteria to become a certified Platinum Support dealer, customers can rest assured that their servicing dealer is committed to continuous improvement and to providing a service level that greatly exceeds industry standards,” said Paul Start, market growth development manager for Thomas Built Buses. “As industry leaders we are always in a culture of continuous improvement, as it is considered a corner stone of our success.”

The company added that Carolina Thomas of Greensboro, North Carolina and Sonny Merryman, Inc. of Evington, Virginia are the first two dealers to obtain Platinum Support certification.
