Trans Tech Bus Delivers First SST School Buses to New England

ttb-sst-neThe City of Worcester, Mass., took delivery of six new gasoline-powered SST Series Type A school buses from Trans Tech Bus, making this the company’s first real foray into the New England market.

“We could not be happier at Trans Tech. Ron, Joe and the entire team at Trans Tech of New England are working extremely hard to get buses into the very competitive New England market. These 6 we feel are the first of many.” That would be Ron Roe (pictured above, left, withTom Flynn, the assistant transportation coordinator at Worchester Public Schools) and Joe Correnti, who head the sales and operations, respectively at the South Boston dealership now named Signature Bus Sales. Trans Tech Bus National Sales Manager Brian Barrington explained that Trans Tech of New England was the dealership at the time the units were sold.

Meanwhile, Trans Tech announced that the SST’s electric cousin, the SSTe powered by a Motive drivetrain, will be delivered to Kings Canyon Unified School District in California after the CHP certified the bus as meeting state law relating to construction, design, equipment and color. The SSTe is set to go into production later this year.

Barrington added that bus “is getting its finishing touches.”
