Bus Driver Fired After Video Shows Girl Pinned, Hair Pulled

The Orlando Sentinal has reported that a Florida bus driver was fired this week after the district accused her of pulling a girl’s hair and pinning her in a seat for four minutes.

“There’s no way I can justify what was happening,” board member Daryl Flynn said after viewing the video, describing it as “one of the most disturbing videos I’ve seen since being on the board.”

Rosa Dalger said she was “unfairly treated” by the district and she did not pull the girl’s hair or hold her down.

The girl was middle-school age and attended Cherokee School, which serves children with emotional and behavioral disorders.

After reviewing video footage taken from the bus during the May incident, Orange school board members voted Tuesday night to fire Dalger.
