Delaware Parent Facing Charges After Hitting School Bus

The parent of a Springer Middle School student is facing charges after allegedly hitting and shattering a school bus window, reported WDEL News.

The incident reportedly occurred on Nov. 30 just before 8 a.m., when the parent was following the bus in their personal vehicle because their child missed the bus at their assigned stop.

According to the news report, the bus driver did not allow the child onto the bus at an unassigned stop. That’s when the parent allegedly struck a bus window with either their fist or a hard object.

The window shattered, and glass fell onto five students who were onboard the bus.

The students were checked out by the school nurse, and the parent is now facing charges. The incident remains under investigation.
