Parents Can Now Get School Bus Updates Via Twitter

Parents of students who attend Chesterfield County Public Schools can now access Twitter for information about school bus delays.

“Twitter will help us provide timely information for parents and students about buses that may be delayed by traffic or for some other reason. It’s free and our community already uses Twitter,” said the director of pupil transportation. “Our goal is always to be on time picking up and dropping off students, but when that is not possible we want our parents to know.

Each office will quickly tweet if a bus is running late either picking students up in the morning or returning students to their bus stops in the afternoon.

The school system’s five area transportation offices began tweeting the first day back after spring break.
