A dozen students and two adults were hospitalized after their school bus overturned on the highway, the Duluth News Tribune reports.
The school bus from Independent School District 318 in Minnesota was taking 22 students and a teacher on a field trip on Monday. At about 8:20 a.m., the driver lost control, strayed into the median of U.S. Highway 2 and overturned the bus.
The driver, teacher and twelve students between the ages of 16 and 18 were taken to local hospitals. The students were released with non-life-threatening injuries. However, as of Monday afternoon, the two adults had not been released.
The district in which the incident happened sent another school bus to bring the 10 uninjured students to a local school to wait for their parents.
The Minnesota State Patrol said that alcohol was not a factor in the crash, but that their investigation is continuing.
