Special Needs Conference Announces 2012 Theme

Attendees to the 2012 National Special Needs Conference & Exhibition should come “Ready to Learn” to fit with the newly-named theme.

According to Roseann Schwaderer, Edupro Group’s president and show organizer, the theme for the 2012 conference “is so appropriate, it merely tapped me on the shoulder and suggested itself.”

She further explained that the goal of the transportation community is to transport students to safely, efficiently, and ready to learn, and it is also the goal of conference attendees. The 2012 conference will cover such topics as administering medications; driver/monitor collaborations and conflicts; team building within and external to your silo; companion animals; student disabling conditions and the bus ride; participating in the IEP process; bullying and behavior; bus stop issues; equipment scheduling; securement and restraint; and preschool transportation best practices, as well as the latest on law and compliance issues.

The 21st National Conference & Exhibition on Transporting Students with Disabilities & Preschoolers is scheduled for March 9-14, 2012 in Orlando, Fla. The 15th National Special Needs Team Safety Roadeo is March 9-11, and includes free conference sessions for team contestants.
