Indiana School Bus Attendant Killed in Crash

A student attendant was killed Wednesday when her school bus collided with another vehicle in Jennings County, Indiana, reported WLKY.

Jennings County Schools confirmed that Mary Boyd, 74, died after a Chevrolet truck reportedly pulled out in front of the bus. The school bus then struck the passenger side of the truck.

Boyd was a 10-year employee of the district.

The bus operates routes for students with disabilities. However, no children were on the bus when the crash occurred at 6:30 a.m. local time. No other injuries were reported.

The district said counseling services will be provided to any student who rides Boyd’s bus and transportation staff.
