Uber Sent to Pick up Special Needs Student

A Massachussetts mother is fuming after she said her 13-year-old daughter’s school sent an Uber to pick her up on her first day, reported WHDH

The child was supposed to be transported to the The Boston Center in Allston, which focuses on students with emotional and behavioral issues. According to her mother, a school bus was supposed to transport her daughter, but when an Uber showed up late, she was outraged.

The school said that their transportation contractor sent an Uber due to lack of available drivers, but that it was unacceptable and that it would end its relationship with the company if it happens again.
