Child Nearly Hit by a Vehicle Illegally Passing a School Bus

Video surfaced from Pittstown, New York, which showed a 7-year-old girl nearly getting hit by a passing car after disembarking from the school bus, reported wnyt.com.

The girl was running towards her father, Joe Carista, when an oncoming car sped by and almost hit her. The vehicle reportedly never stopped.

The roadway was described as a single-lane road, and the vehicle drove off of it and passed the bus on the right-hand side, where children would exit and enter the school bus.

The bus driver honked and yelled at the driver, but to no avail. The school bus had its red lights and stop arm activated, to indicate there was a child crossing.
